How about that? Canadian black metal masters Revenge, helmed by mastermind James Read, will make the journey from Edmonton to Norway for the very first time in their 15 year long career. Revenge has proven to be one of the most brutal bands in the scene, with crushing releases such as “Triumph.Genocide.Antichrist”, “Scum.Collapse.Eradication” and “Behold.Total.Rejection” and some legendary live performances.

The Canadians will bring their complete production and they will do a full set at Beyond the Gates: Bjørgvin Black Mass 2017.

Exciter, the original heavy metal maniacs, and Canadian metals finest, are finally ready for Norway and Beyond the Gates! The maniacs also known as John Ricci, Dan Beehler and Allan Johnson have since 1978 been THE formative band within speed metal, and after the comeback, they have just continued to lay stages to ruins as if there was no tomorrow.

Prepare for violence and force, because we are unveiling the wicked! This will mark Exciters first ever gig on Norwegian soil. Long live the loud!

We’re dead pleased to welcome back The Ruins Of Beverast to the fold, If all goes to plan with a brand new album in the bag! The band was originally formed as one man outfit, but over the course of the last years they’ve grown into a spectacular live act. Their albums are filled to the brim with unique and claustrophobic atmospheres and their live shows captures that very essence in the most remarkable way.

With members from other well known acts such as Ascension, Secrets Of The Moon, Kathaaria and Drowned, there’s been nothing but praise after their infamous live debut at Roadburn. Expect nothing but sheer doomy brilliance!
